In Section Two of the first year of the Taking Back Ground series, we look at “Knowing God in Our Struggle”. As believers in Christ, we understand the Gospel message, but many of us have not invited Him into the deepest parts of our struggles.
Part of navigating challenges in life is accepting the things we cannot change. We cannot control the restrictions we are given or how others will react. We ultimately cannot control whether we get sick or not. If we can accept these things, rather than fighting them, we can instead focus our energy and attention on what we can control.
We have a team of volunteers that make our weekly Support Programs possible. They walk alongside individuals struggling with pornography/sexual addiction or unwanted same-sex desires, survivors of sexual abuse, and spouses of those struggling.
