This is one of my first drawing/paintings I created. I’m fascinated with white bark birch trees because of the unique look they have. They have this white bark that few other trees have. It’s nice and smooth in spots, but when you look at the whole tree it isn’t entirely nice and smooth. There’s always broken branches, peeling bark, and scares. With all these flaws, it’s still pleasing to look at.
I got to thinking about this after I painted it. This is the way that God looks at us. After all our brokenness, scars, and peeling layers, God sees our beauty and uniqueness and loves us just the same. I’m so thankful.
